Today's Style..??

Lately I've been thinking about today's styles. It seems everywhere I look people are sporting baggy jeans, tattoos, heavy black eyeliner, and clothes that show a ton of skin. The styles are just total trash and grunge. Whatever happened to the elegant styles of the 1940's and 50's? Even styles from the turn of the century (1900's) styles at least had class. Today it seems there isn't even a standard to what one should wear. Below is a contrast between outfits similar to what I see worn today verses a more classic look which is totally elegant!!

Now...if someone were to look in my closet I would hope they would notice that there are no baggy jeans , low cut tops, short tops, and ripped jeans that show of the body. I only have modest clothes that keep me covered. When I purchase clothes I always ask myself...is this something that the Lord would want me to wear? The world has created this image that no one is cool until they reveal their bodies by clothes they wear!! This is totally outrageous! As you can see I have a passion for styles from days gone by! I believe the older styles made women feel more feminine and it's as if they took pride in what they wore since there was a standard. I don't mean pride as in showing off but they cared about what they wore...they had respect for themselves and didn't go about parading their bodies!!!!!! We need to take a stand and show America how terribly inappropriate and sinful their ideas of 'style' are!!!
